“The NRICH Project aims to enrich the mathematical experiences of all learners. To support this aim, members of the NRICH team work in a wide range of capacities, including providing professional development for teachers wishing to embed rich mathematical tasks into everyday classroom practice.”
Due to the retirement of Jennie Pennant at the end of this month, the day’s training will be delivered by her successor Fran Watson:
About the trainer: Fran Watson, Primary Professional Development Coordinator
Fran joined the NRICH team in 2013 but from October 2015 will be taking up a new role as the Primary PD coordinator.
Originally trained as an engineer, she has taught maths to pupils in middle, primary, secondary, upper and lower schools, and will continue to run MMP mathematical paper-folding workshops for ages 4-16. She loved being an AST for 7 years, working with teachers to foster a love of, and enthusiasm for, developing mathematical thinkers and looks forward to doing so again in her new role, whilst also being a part-time teacher again.
