Erasmus Plus is a new 2014 - 2020 European programme for education, training, youth and sport.
All previous programmes from the Lifelong Learning Programme are now under one umbrella, with one pot of funds for all project, and a simplification in the application process. (€14 billion)
The British Council remains the agency for school projects in this country.
The main difference in mobility projects for school education staff, the area which concerns us with our programme of French partnerships, is that applications will be made by schools, not individuals. Each school can request one or two bursaries for their staff, without naming staff at the time of application. An advantage in a way but the onus is now on Schools themselves.
There will be only one deadline, 17th March 2014, for all projects till the end of 2015, so no opportunities of funding for teacher visits beyond then.
Nicole Valencia is happy to support schools and guide them for applications for this deadline. There is money! Please don’t miss a chance to use some of it to empower your teachers by visiting partner schools and developing projects which will have immense value of authenticity and creativity in the new Curriculum.
This applies to primary and secondary schools.
NV has been approached by the new Head of International Projects at the Nice LA for education, and they are keen to extend their links at secondary level, and at vocational level. Bursaries could be used by English colleagues to visit a potential partner school in the region of Nice.
Please do contact Nicole Valencia on email@example.com as soon as possible if you are interested.
