Our amazing new exhibition, Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age, has just opened and is receiving great reviews. We would like to invite you to join us at a private view of the exhibition, exclusively for teachers, on Thursday 29 October from 6.30-8.30pm.
The exhibition tells the story of how Soviet Russia turned the dream of space travel into reality. Many of the exhibits have never been on public display before, and they provide a great context for students to think about what you need to live in space, the technologies used for space exploration and the Cold War.
You and an adult guest are invited to explore the exhibition and enjoy a tour with one of our curators who will share some inside stories that you can pass on to students. The Museum’s Learning team will also be on hand to give advice about planning your class visit (It’s suitable for Year 5 upwards).
If you would like to attend, please book your tickets here.
Media Space Photography Exhibition
If you have colleagues teaching about Photography, on the same evening we also have a private teacher view of our new Media Space exhibition, Gathered Leaves: Photographs by Alec Soth. More information and booking is available here.
