Wednesday 8th March
South Essex College, Elmer Square, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1NE
I would like to invite you to the first of our Southend Business Partnership Briefings for 2017 which is being held at South Essex College's popular Performance Pod within their Southend Campus.
The Briefing will be focused on the use of Digital Technology for the creation of investment and opportunity for Southend's economy and society and also featuring the exciting dark fibre 50km highway currently being developed to provide ultra-fast network connectivity for the borough.
We are excited to announce our private sector speakers are CityFibre and OneCom who will be presenting the launch of the dark fibre network. Rob Tinlin, Chief Executive of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, will be providing a comprehensive update on the latest developments in and around Southend. You are probably aware that Rob will be retiring in March so this will be his Briefing presentation finale.
All speakers will be joining the Q&A panel at the end of the Briefing, allowing you a chance to ask any questions which you may have and a Digital Technology market place will be available before and after the briefing.
This will be a very popular event and we have a restricted number of places available, so book to attend for free at our Business Briefing to avoid disappointment - on the day registration will start at 07.30am to provide you with an opportunity to visit the market place stalls and network before the Briefing starts at 8.30am which will run until 10.00am. If subsequently you are unable to attend the Business Briefing and you have booked a ticket, please contact the Economy and Tourism team as soon as possible in order that we can maximise attendance through reallocations.
I look forward to seeing you there!
