On 26th June William Edwards School will be hosting the first Teach Meet Thurrock: "an evening of sharing, collaborating and networking for the educators of Essex".
The event will consist of nano presentations (3 min) and micro presentations (6 min) on various pedagogical, innovative and inventive areas of education.
The event is designed for teachers to share good practice and improve the standard of teaching, learning and provision for the students in our local schools.
TMThurrock is open to secondary and primary school teachers and pizza will be provided!
All presentations, feedback and comments can be left via #TMThurrock
A TeachMeet is an informal gathering of educators who are taking CPD into their own hands. a TeachMeet is organised for those who want to listen to inspiring teachers who do amazing things in their classrooms every day. It is also an opportunity to network, share ideas and join in a growing community of Teachers on Twitter across Thurrock.
Learn something new, be amazed, amused and inspired! Anyone can share interesting, useful or innovative ideas in a 3 minute or 6 minute presentation. Presentations can be on any educational topicand about subjects, innovation, strategy or day-to-day work across the curriculum. It really is the best CPD there is and it’s free!
How does it work?
You can simply turn up and watch the presentations, get involved with the online discussion on Twitter using the #TMThurrock hashtag, or be brave and present and share a 3 minute or 6 minute presentation.
