The East of England Low Carbon Schools and Community Energy Conference is Southend Borough Council’s fourth annual low-carbon and sustainability conference.
This year’s conference has been timed to coincide with Climate Week and will take place during the afternoon of Wednesday 5th March at the Forum, Southend on Sea. It will bring together schools, community groups and the public sector to observe and understand the transformational opportunities that exist through energy efficiency programmes and the installation of renewable technologies, and will also showcase the benefits of embedding sustainability into the classroom.
The conference will highlight the role the low-carbon and renewable agenda can play in helping to deliver key local objectives around health and well-being, fuel poverty, education, housing, transport, economic development and community cohesion.
