Maths Research & Innovation Working Group: SLP working in partnership with Venn Essex Maths Hub10th December 2021
Venn Essex Maths Hub, in conjunction with the Southend, Esssex & Thurrock Science Learning Partnership, are delighted to offer a new Research and Innovation Work Group, which will allow a maths teacher and a science teacher from your school to collaborate on common themes in maths and science.
Mathematical skills are used in many other subjects across the curriculum, especially Science. Did you know that when your students first come across standard form, it may be a concept that is applied in science lessons prior to the pupils being exposed to it in their maths curriculum!
The aim of this RIWG is to develop an understanding between departments of the differences and similarities that occur within them, and make the learning journey more coherent for your students.
The programme is fully funded by the DfE and free to participating schools
Sessions will begin in 2022 as follows:
Monday 17th Jan
Monday 28th Mar
Monday 6th June
Monday 27th June
